  NOTICE

A court form (SR16) will be sent to close the suspension for Failure to Appear or Failure to Pay from your driving record after the Terre Haute City Clerk's Office processes your credit card payment.  The time period to remove the suspension varies from twenty-four business hours to three weeks depending on the state you reside in.  The City Clerk's Office can not expedite this process!

If your suspension is because of a conviction and a Failure to Pay, the suspension for the conviction will remain on your operato'rs license.  In other words, if you are suspend for ninety (90) days because of a conviction for Driving While Suspended and you are also suspended indefinitely because you failed to pay your court costs, fees, and fines, the suspension for the conviction will not be lifted until the time has expired.  Only the indefinite suspension for Failure to Pay will be lifted.

Payments submitted for Failure to Appear causes/cases will result in a conviction being placed on your driving record.  This may result in a suspension of your driving privileges based upon your home state's rules for certain types of convictions.
