Vectren Bark Park Opening

The Terre Haute Parks Department’s first bark park will be opening at noon on June 6, 2015 in Fairbanks Park.  The Vectren Bark Park has been in the works for three years, with the land being leased to the Park Department by Vectren.

The city’s K9 Unit will start the event off at noon with a demonstration.  A short program which will include a memory of Dr. Shew and Mayor Bennett cutting the ribbon to officially open the Park will follow.

Lunch will be served for donations.  It will include a hot dog, chips and a drink, with all donations going into the bark park. Terre Haute Humane Society will be at the park with dogs available to meet and play.  Local groomers and veterinary offices will be on hand with informational handouts.  The public is invited to attend.
