Mayor Presents Arts Project Grants

Today, Mayor Bennett presented awards to seven recipients of the 2008 City of Terre Haute Arts Grants.  All applicants were evaluated on the following criteria: Overall quality of the project, community impact and project management.  Arts Illiana was the facilitator of the process.

The following were the 2008 grant recipients, the project name and the award amount:

Sheldon Swope Art Museum - Summer Youth Art Program, $5000

Art Spaces, Inc. - Max Ehrmann Outdoor Sculpture, $5000

Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra - Symphony in the Park Concert, $5000

Crossroads Repertory Theatre - "The Velveteen Rabbit" Outreach, $5000

ArtReach - Arts Programming, $4000

Terre Haute Community Band - Summer Concert Series / Sinfonettia, $2050

Rose-Hulman Performing Arts Series - Taiko Project Outreach, $2500
