Reports to: Assistant Director

Pay Rate:

  • $10.00 per hour
  • Up to 28 hours per week
  • Monday-Sunday, 10:30am-5:15pm regular schedule; additional hours may vary

Position Responsibilities:

  • Complete all opening and closing duties and inspections
  • Perform duties in accordance with State Board rules and regulations
  • Monitor train tracks for hazards and obstructions
  • Monitor mechanical operation of train
  • Welcome and interact with all riders with enthusiasm and positivity
  • Collect tickets from patrons and safely usher them to and from cars
  • Follow and enforce all safety procedures
  • Clean train barn area
  • Assist with special events

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Professionalism
  • Ability to control large groups of people calmly and effectively
  • Complete and submit inspection forms and reports proficiently, in a timely manor
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors
  • Ability to problem solve

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with amusement ride operation
  • Valid CPR certification

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a wide variety of environment, including extreme heat and cold
  • Ability to stand for long period of time
  • Ability  to push, pull, carry, and lift a minimum of 25 pounds
