IPI Division

Investigation/Prevention/Inspection

The Investigation/Prevention/Inspection Division (IPI) is currently under the leadership of Deputy Chief Brett Doan. The IPI division’s main responsibility is to help make the City of Terre Haute a safer and better place to live and work. There are three full time firefighters assigned to this division which one is on duty 24 hours a day, A-Shift Jeff Hodges, B-Shift Rick Hayne and C-Shift Dan Curly.

The IPI division has recently added a Arson/Criminal Investigator to there unit, Assistant Chief Norm Loudermilk will have the primary duties to investigate suspicious and incendiary fires and to apprehend and convict those so engaged in the crime of arson and related offenses.
