Upcoming Projects

The city is currently working on a tree planting plan. We hope to have it completed and start planting trees by fall 2022.

Inventory Projects

The City requested a $25,000 grant from the Indiana DNR to complete a Tree Inventory for the City of Terre Haute. Conducted in 2021, 80% of the city's tree data was collected. The inventory was completed by Certified Arborists from Great Lakes Urban Forestry Management. This fall 2022, the city will complete the remaining 20% of the inventory. To learn more about the statistical overview and recommended mitigation measures, please read the 2021 Tree Inventory Executive Summary.
