Operations Division
Daily Fire Operations
The THFD Operations Division is made up of men and women who put there life on the line every day to help protect the residents of Terre Haute and the surrounding communities. This division will make approximately 6,500 emergency runs associated with fires and emergency medical calls.
The Operations Division is currently under the leadership of Deputy Chief Darrick Scott. There are currently three shifts operating 24 hours a day and they are under the direction of Ron Steiner A-Shift Battalion Chief, Tony Prouse B-Shift Battalion Chief and Bob Kiefner C-Shift Battalion Chief. Operations division personnel staff six fire engines, two truck companies and one support unit under the roof of eight fire stations. These members are highly skilled, well trained and provided with all the needed tools to respond to emergency situations.
