Chief of Police Shawn Keen gets GHOULED!

So, I came into the department late last night to speak with the night shift roll calls. At that time of night, our lobby lights are turned off with the lights to my office. When I entered my office, I was not expecting to find this guy sitting in my desk chair. I am truly grateful that no one was around to hear my reaction. To prevent further embarrassment, I am making a donation to support the Culinary Queens and FSA Counseling Center and moving this guy to someone else’s office. #gotghouledCQ

THPD Celebrates Cheryl Long & Elaine Wence for Decades of Service

The Terre Haute Police Department celebrates Cheryl Long and Elaine Wence. Cheryl has been employed with the THPD for 35 years and Elaine for 40 years. Though their jobs are sometimes out of sight out of mind, they both play vital roles within the THPD.

We appreciate you both and are thankful for your extended service to our community and our department!

An ILEAC Accredited Law Enforcement Agency

Of 482 law enforcement agencies in the state of Indiana, the Terre Haute Police Department is one of 13 agencies who have achieved accreditation by the Indiana Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission (ILEAC), having received initial accreditation in 2016, and re-accreditation in 2019.

We are appreciative for all of the hard work our men and women, both officers and civilian staff, have invested in achieving this accomplishment.
