Terre Haute Parks Department

Welcome to Terre Haute Parks!
The Terre Haute Parks Department owns over 1000 acres of dedicated land, including community parks, neighborhood parks, block parks, and two municipal golf courses, as well as trails, greenways, and boulevards. Each park has its own unique amenities, which are listed under Facilities and Rentals.
Deming Park, which is our largest, is the home of the ever-popular Spirit of Terre Haute Train, a swimming pool, and the Holly Arboretum. It is also the site of numerous events throughout the year.
Dobbs Park contains the Nature Center and Native American Museum, as well as hiking trails and a pond for fishing.
Many of our parks also offer classes, programs and other activities for visitors of all ages--see our activities calendars to the left for details. There are summer camps, lessons and leagues as well.
Our newly forming "Friends of the Park" group will offer opportunities to help improve your Parks Department by volunteer work and making donations.![]()
