Department:  Engineering                                  

Reports To:    Lead Inspector                                                                                                                                 

FLSA:            Non-Exempt

Position Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):

• Inspects all plumbing and or mechanical on new construction and remodeling
• Inspects all condemned property and provide Housing Inspector with report
• Ensure al plumbers working in the city are licensed with the state of Indiana and the City of Terre Haute

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Must have knowledge of state plumbing codes
• Ability to work with the public in a courteous and respectful manner

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent.  Must have plumbing license with the state of Indiana

Experience:  Must have extensive experience in plumbing trade

Working Conditions: Both office and field work, including unsafe structures.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to operate vehicle
• Ability to climb, walk and stand on job sites
