Department:  Parks

Reports to:  Asst. Maintenance Director

FLSA:  Non-Exempt

Position Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):

• Cutting, trimming and weeding assigned areas
• Pick-up trash
• Other maintenance duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Working ability to prioritize assignments
• Ability to work independently as well as a team
• Working ability to solve problems

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Training: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: Experience operating lawn care equipment; to include Zero Turning Radius Mower (ZTR), and Weed Eaters is preferred, but not required.

Working Conditions: Outdoors (could include extreme heat) Safety Toed boots are required, and are not provided.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift at least 75lbs
• Able to bend, stoop & flex in order to complete responsibilities of position
• Ability to see within normal parameters
• Ability to hear within normal range
• Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s)
